the girl effect is a fucking joke... if you think it is in any way helping those it "intends" to... you should probably do some research, reflection, and interrogation of the political motives behind such a problematic campaign that myopically focuses on "girl's", in particular, putting the focus of micro credit programs (which are shown to cause more harm then good to the women in which they target as they are unsustainable and disrupt social relations..... causing backlash (economic and physical) that serves to maintain their inequality. From the look of your blog (white, western, upper-class, corporate loving woman) I am not surprised to see such ignorance; however, you should look beyond the marketing gimmicks that mask this campaign and try to think some sort of critical thought about it.. shouldn't be too hard if you put it into context.... for your sake, and the the ignorant souls who read/ support your writing, good luck.
