Just posted Role of Retail in Sustainability on my business blog. I'm surprised at how few retailers are stepping up to the plate and helping consumers make educated choices on sustainable products. Best Buy is a laggard, Home Depot is a leader. If you know what Wal-Mart is doing in customer education, would love for you to contribute a comment.
Hi,
I have read your post and the related comments. It provides me a lot of information. Thanks for everything, keep up the good work.

For a long time we hear about sustainability, particularly in the media, but in practice there is little company that takes it seriously, these days I was in a supermarket and found it very action they did, all the bags in the supermarket asked customers to anoxic waste as recyclable material and then devolverpara the supermarket, because they would give a destination for this material! lot 10

Even though conservation is important to the planet, big companies don't give a fig about it if it is not profitable for them. The profit can come out in the form of good reputation or free advertising, but if it doesn't pay for the price they got to invest, they won't do anything. It is all a matter of marketing not of self conciousness.

Oh, one other thing. We aren't nearly finished with just old fashioned common sense conservation yet.
Especially in the South the payback on increased insulation during the summer would be tremendous.
But if we really want to help ourselves in pollution, health, and decreased crime, we'd rezone our cities and suburbs so we didn't have to drive the car for a quart of milk. Governments need to think green as well.
