How about I choose to ignore that the same way I choose to ignore the fact that there are band-aids and hair in the pool as well.

I'm moving on and not thinking about this EVER again.....

Chris C.

Oh, God, I just cannot think about this or I won't ever be able to get in the freakin' pool again! I have not, as an adult, ever peed in the pool, and honestly, it even grosses me out in lake/ocean race starts with all those folks around you. ICK!

(laughing) OK, so I think I just committed the blog equivalent of "oh, this (food/drink) is AWFUL, it makes me want to puke. Here, taste this!" because we have this need to share experiences even if they suck. Sorry :-) Ha.

I'm with Jason, getting the heebie jeebies just thinking about all the "stuff" in the pool. Ignorance is bliss.

That said, there is a bathroom right next to the pool where I swim, so it's easy to get out and go. I saw a trailer for some Adam Sandler movie that showed them peeing in a pool and some chemical reaction turned the pee blue for everyone to see! I have a fear that that really exists, so I'll walk the straight and narrow....Its also just plain wrong!

Junk1600s

There are so many kids in the pool where we swim I know there is pee and who knows what else..

Molly

As I understand it, many adults at masters do - you don't see folks getting out of the pool to pee mid-workout. My coach has freely admitted it on her blog and after a few years working with her...it might be contagious.

Amanda Beard confessed to it-I bet Michael Phelps has too. If you are doing LOOOONG swim sets, you eventually pee in the pool.
